The Brief :

Renowned Australian fashion designer Sarina Suriano chose Protein to design and animate an opening sequence for her 2005 Sydney Fashion show.

The Concept :

Sarina's 'Oasis' show told a story of a desert princess that travelled a long journey to find the Oasis. On a tight budget, we animated still images that reflected a dry, arid horizon. An illustrated vine grew through the imagery to blossom and eventually transpose with fresh greenery.

The Result :

Sarina's show was a huge success for the Sydney Fashion Show 2005, with the show recieving a standing ovation. We were proud to help Sarina realise her vision.

Guess What! :

The animation was played as a live Arabic singer sang for the audience.
